I have been taking pictures all my life, but working as a professional photographer for the past 6 years. I had the pleasure of learning from one of the top wedding photographers in Chicago at Husar Photography.
Always looking to try new things and keep my images fresh, I can't help but go the extra mile if it means some epic pictures in return! Be it hiking a mountain with a sofa (yes literally!), unknowingly trespassing on some protected California land at sunset, or dragging a hundred feet of extension cords into a forest....I am DOWN!:) I will try almost anything once and believe there is always something new to learn in my eyes:)
I love combining new and old, vintage and contemporary, natural and urban…a mix of sorts:) I believe in having some great traditional shots that will last a lifetime, accompanied by more alternative themes, settings, or ideas. As a painter (www.michellescottart.com), its seems I can’t help but bring some of that into the way I shoot too. It’s my goal to leave you with a ‘work of art’ to take home at the end of it.
FEW RANDOM FACTS ABOUT ME:
I am born and raised a GEORGIA PEACH, but have lived in Chicago, Florida, and Kauai (ok only for 2 months but still!)
I LOVE MUSIC. Any and all! More recently the classics... can't beat THE STONES on vinyl!
I once JUMPED OUT OF A PLANE to conquer a fear of heights:)
I know how to SAIL at 40ft Hallberg-Rassy.
I am a NIGHT OWL:)
I care about the QUALITY of LIFE and the PEOPLE in it.
My dream car is a 1969 jet BLACK Z28 CAMARO.
I believe, "If there is a WILL there is a WAY"
I can't resist anything from ANTROPOLOGIE.
My guilty pleasure is watching INVESTIGATION DISCOVERY channel for hours on end.
Those who know me best, say I am slightly "AWKWARD", but it makes me LOVABLE;)
I double as an ARTIST and PAINTER and show in galleries in my spare time (ha!).
I think a fix to any bad day is RETREATING to NATURE.
I always arrive an extra hour early to the airport:)
I am DEEP WATER certified in scuba diving.
I use waaaay to many emocicons while texting:) :) :)
Last but not least, I believe in LOVE, HOPE and FAITH and it drives my life:)
